Flat design has been king for a while now, and the industry is buzzing with ideas for what the next big thing will be.

A new trend I have been seeing, and loving, is the use of gradients, CSS gradients to be specific.

linear-gradient & radial-gradient

These wonderful CSS properties allow for all the colour spectrums a web designer could wish for, without even opening photoshop! Completely scalable they are perfect for any screen size,  and they reduce download times and bandwidth usage.

Show & Tell

I will be updating this page with new gradients as and when I feel inspired to, but if you have any that you think would look great let me know and I will add it to the collection

One thing I have learnt from working in web design is absolutely nothing is set in stone. It’s hard to know what the next web wave to hit will be, so its always best to go with the flow and have fun! Surfs up baby!
